Introduction

Earth Hour 2025 in Nepal was one of the most impactful celebrations to date, uniting communities, artists, and environmental advocates in a powerful movement for climate action. Held in Guest House Chaur (Chitwan Sports Center) Bharatpur, near Chitwan National Park, the event blended music, culture, and sustainability, raising awareness about environmental conservation while fostering a sense of collective responsibility.

Event Highlights

The event featured a conservation concert, bringing together renowned and emerging Nepali artists. Performers included Sameera Sunar, Sandesh Bishwokarma, Razan Thapaliya, Subarna Poudel, and Shiva Kandel, with a grand performance by Trishna Gurung and the Collab Band. Beyond the music, the event engaged attendees in meaningful sustainability initiatives.

  • Idea and Innovation Demonstration: Various Ideas and Innovative initiatives were demonstrated to raise awareness on environmental Conservation.

  • Face Painting: Youths had their faces painted with conservation messages, spreading awareness through creative expression.
  • Conservation Game – β€˜Quoit’ (Ring Toss): Participants aimed rings at images of freshwater animals printed on bricks, promoting knowledge about aquatic biodiversity and its conservation.
  • Nadi Sangai Haami Signature Campaign
  • 450+ signatures collected to advocate for clean rivers and sustainable water management.
  • Waste mapping and audit findings of the Narayani River showcased to educate attendees about pollution sources and mitigation efforts.
  • Exhibition of climate conservation and justice paintings, raising awareness about the broader environmental crisis.

The event attracted over 2,500 attendees and 60+ Volunteers, including:
