Better Chitwan is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Student Scholarship Program, which has benefitted 140 underprivileged students from the marginalized communities of Chitwan. On October 12th, we had the pleasure of visiting Devi Bhanjyang National Basic School in Kalikhola, Ichhakamana 6, Chitwan.
This initiative extended its support to 64 students from the Chepang community, and the joy on their faces was truly heartwarming. These young scholars showcased their talents, and engaging with them in meaningful conversations revealed their dedication to education despite the numerous challenges posed by their humble economic backgrounds.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the school for their warm hospitality. We were deeply impressed by the school’s management and the unwavering commitment of the teachers in nurturing these young minds. It was heartening to see the school’s efforts in maintaining a small kitchen garden to provide nutritious meals, known as “diwa khaja,” for the students.
Despite the many pressing needs, we believe that our modest support has brought happiness to these students. Our sincerest thanks go to the Chitwan Aid Trust (CATUK) for their invaluable financial support. We also express our special appreciation to Miss. Sangita Parajuli, Teacher for her exceptional coordination efforts. Together, we’re making a positive impact on the lives of these deserving students.
